Decent portions especially with the meat , loved the veg which can be dull, great flavours and a decent pub in hotwells surrounded by distant woodlands
Great atmosphere, lots of character and tasty homemade food
The Rose of Denmark is a great pub - we love the good value but tasty meals, good selection of beers, comfy seating, friendly service, and books and board games. We'll definitely be returning!
Great interesting food and loads of it. We were expecting a few standard tapas and we ended up feeling stuffed 8 plates later. Lovely place with nice vibe and music. Definitely recommend it
There was a mix up when we got to the rose of Denmark, they said the wriggle offer was no longer available and had been removed that morning. We explained we have bought the offer the night before and arrived within the designated time. They ran around trying to find out if they had food left and in the end offered us anything on the menu for the same price as the wriggle offer. My friend had the curry that was offered and I had a burger. Food was good and although there was a mix up when we arrived they provided w fab service and sorted us out, even offered a free dessert which were incredibly yummy too!
The food was good but not at all as advertised on the wriggle deal, sandwiches totally different fillings. So initially a bit disappointed. The actual venue is a bit tired, sticky tables. That said, what we did have was good and the staff were very friendly.
Nice atmosphere and surprisingly good food. A nice surprise from my first visit - will definitely return!
Great selection of food, including various deals each day of the week.
