A nice day out - enjoyed the walk (we did a full lap of the lake which turned out to be longer than we expected!!), and the carvery roast was excellent. Unfortunately on the day we were there they did not have the full menu or dessert selection as listed on the wriggle. We had no choice on dessert. Overall the food was great though and the venue was nice.

Beautifully cooked, this was the best Sunday roast I've had this year - plenty of it, too. Great service, nice local type inn with parking which made it an easy choice for an escape from the city.

Lovely home cooked roast in a proper country pub.

Lovely country pub

The perfect country pub to wind up in after a Sunday walk. Decent selection of cask ales from Butcombe and a very hearty carvery. Would definitely recommend taking a trip to Blagdon and stopping by.

Cosy pub in a beautiful part of the world. Food and drink were tip top.

Amazing service, beautiful setting and lovely carvery!

Lovely cosy pub and we did the recommend walk around the lake before which was beautiful. We were quite late in so had the end of the carvery so not as fresh, but expected. Also had run out of desserts. But appreciate we were in near end of service and it had been busy.

The food was ok, fairly standard Sunday roast. However, I am vegetarian, they had a veggie option but it arrived 20 minutes after everyone else's ( had to cook it , which is fine, but they didn't tell us that , just to go up and be served from the carvery), so basically they had all almost finished before mine arrived. We ordered puddings after which took 45 minutes to appear, after remind information them what we ordered, and were really not great. The brownie was ok, warned up, but the sticky toffee pudding was neither sticky not toffee, not sure what it was but it looked and tasted like it was out of a tin, sickly sweet and definitely no toffee or dates. The staff were friendly but seemef to all be half asleep.
