Why we love it

We love to celebrate Bristol’s independent scene and so do the team at The Malago –a modern restaurant over the river serving modern British cuisine with some welcome European influences.

Brother and sister duo Helly and John are passionate about reducing food mileage. The Malago source their produce from local suppliers such as the Severn Project for leaves, salads and other fresh goodness, and Bristol Beer Factory for delicious bottles of the good stuff. This commitment allows the Malago team to create the freshest dishes from the finest ingredients. The menu reflects the seasons with their brunch, lunch and evening dishes ranging from braised lamb shoulders to roasted cauliflower steak, according to what the time of year dictates.

This is proper, independent and local food served at its finest.
