One member of the Wriggle office remembers The Gloucester Old Spot when it was The Kellaway. A sad, quiet pub with a few ducks and chickens running around the large garden and a leathal kids play set and swing, begging to be clambered on when a few beers have been consumed.
Fast forward to today, however, and The Gloucester Old Spot is a hub of lively activity. With an award winning kitchen serving hot plates of delicious pub grub, friendly staff pouring local and further afield sourced beers and spirits and a garden set up to entertain the kids whilst the adults take a break.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, The Gloucester Old Spot is a proper community pub!
Great food and friendly bar staff!
Nice friendly pub with seating in both restaurant and bar area. We really enjoyed our veggie roasts. It has a large garden so great for summer time drinks as well!
Lovely pub with great food on offer. The only reason atmosphere was a bit lower is because I went for breakfast at 10.30 on a Tuesday morning and so there was only 2 other people eating there so it was really quiet. I think it would be quite different on an eve or weekend.
Great food with lots of options. Great atmosphere for a Friday night.
Such a lovely breakfast, full of flavour in every mouthful.
Friendly service on a quiet Wednesday morning
