The magical emporium, a hodgepodge of paraphanalia, a melunge of watchamucallits...The Gallimaufry could have been named any of these things, but a gallimaufry of goodness is precicely what it is. Whether a music-junkie friend raves on about this place, or you already swing by a regular basis for your mid-week G 'n' T, it will already be on your radar. Making the most of a shoestring budget, the team behind The Gallimaufry filled it with wonderful, second-hand furnishings in just five days. Having enjoyed steady input from a team of creative fingers, big thinkers, and even local volunteers who helped create the fantastic magazine-collaged bar, this place is pretty much perfect.
Live music entertains a considerable crowd every night, the cocktails are yum, the craft beer well kept, and the small plates show some serious kitchen talent. Situated along the promanade of Gloucester Road, it's the perfect pit-stop for a mid-week pint, or a light round of 'Galli plates' in an intimate dining space.
The Galli accepts Bristol Pounds, displays new local artwork on a regular basis, and strives to source sustainable ingredients. What an absolute champ of independent philosophy!
Tasty local food that changes depending on the produce available. Always a good atmosphere.
A lively, fun establishment, friendly service and great drinks!
A relaxed bar with interesting decor.
Had a ham and pickle sandwich. It tasted great, but even with the wriggle discount it felt overpriced.
Nice atmosphere. Great food and friendly staff.
I’d been to the Gali before and thought it was nice, but the baked egg brunch I had on this occasion blew my socks off and totally elevated my opinion of the place
