There are local cask ales, classic packs of peanuts, a couple of tables, stools and beer barrels. There are NO fizzy keg beers or fruit machines, NO ambient music or widescreen televisions, no drunken idiots or Sambuca shots. And this is not a hipster joint.
The Drapers Arms is Bristol's only micropub, characterised so by its celebration of authentic old-fashioned pub culture. Quietly occupying a former shop and easy to miss, it was opened in 2015 by passionate team of two, Garvan and Vince. Their vision was to run a proper pub that rejected the hipster craft beer revolution. And wa-lah! this no-frills boozer has grown in strength yet remained small in size.
