Our favourite fish and chip shop. Mankind’s war against fish is nearly won, so it’s nice to see a chippy which does things right – all seafood sustainably line-caught, with owners Stuart and Vashti boasting: “we could even tell you the boat they were caught on.” Stuart has a real food heritage, having cooked for royalty, Madonna and even the Dalai Lama, so he applies years of fine dining experience to make the humble national dish a little less fishy. Throw in a few specialities (Po’Boy style sandwiches, Frito Misto) and some great local beers (Moor Brewery) and we’re very happy indeed.
