Bristolians of a certain age may remember Planet Pizza from its days of orbit over on Cotham Hill, but today, this casual, quick and tasty eatery is gracing the galaxies of Gloucester Road.
Thin and crispy is the order of the day at Planet Pizza – forget stodgy sourdough that's more chewy crust than anything else – these elegant beauties are generously lavished with tasty toppings that extend right to the far reaches of the pizza stratosphere. About those toppings: there's a heavenly host of varied options that are absolutely out of this world (sorrynotsorry). Team Wriggle are particularly enamoured with The Moon: a tangy, vibrant concoction that's been lovingly crafted from Gorgonzola, ricotta, feta and peppery rocket. To be honest, though, everything sounds positively intergalactic; made using fresh, seasonal produce that's often locally sourced. Veg comes from the legendary Bristol Veg Market, whilst craft beers are courtesy of Bristol institutions Wiper & True and Bristol Beer Factory.
Dough is made fresh daily, and is stone baked to delicate perfection. There are gluten free bases made with Doves Farm flour, as well as plenty of delicious vegan topping options, so everybody can can get involved in the fun. Get yourselves a pizza the action!
Very yummy gluten free pizza. The sauce is delicious. Nice crispy chips too.
