Why we love it

Bristol’s worst kept secret, Lost and Found, is a mystical cocktail bar promising molecular mixology and seasonal cuisine. With each branch tailored to a different mythological figure, no restaurant is the same, with each quirky haunt seasoned with its own unique character.

Premised on the mystical fable of Elizabeth E. Lightfoot, a professor of astronomy, the exotic cocktail menu aligns to references of space and zodiac. From cuisine to decor, oldy worldy chandeliers and antique looking furniture create a sensory immersion into an opulent clandestine cocktail bar. With the allure of the surreptitious, cocktail drinkers are tempted by the “Ssshhh” light feature placed as a marker of temptation over the secret underground bar. With access only privileged to private parties and events, you’ll have to put the effort in to see the charming wisteria installation in this secret hideaway. Trust us when we say, though, that it’s well worth it: this place is a dream for dedicated interior decor lovers, Instagrammers and cocktail drinkers alike.

Now, we here at Wriggle would hate to be thought of as shallow, so enough about the decor and onto the culinary offerings. The cuisine at Lost & Found is both delightfully tasty and far ranging in options. Fussy eaters may rest at ease, for at Lost and Found, a vast assortment of delectable dishes are on offer. The Smoked Haddock, Pea and Spinach Risotto makes us weak to our knees, but we suggest you taste test for yourself. After all, it’s for quality control purposes…

Call us twee, but at Wriggle we believe that afternoon tea is the best thing since sliced bread. Or should we say, deliciously doughy scones, jam packed and lathered in clotted cream. Never mind. No afternoon tea is ever complete without a tipple, and so we suggest you wash down that buttery goodness with a glass of prosecco or two. Thankfully, Lost and Found agree, allowing you to choose the Afternoon Tea and Tipples package, complete with your choice of cocktail or a glass of bubbles.

If you’re not a sucker for scones, the Brunch and Bottomless Bubbles menu will be music to your ears. Served every saturday, pancakes, avo toast and a multitude of brunch essentials all come accompanied by bottomless Bloody Marys, Mimosas, Bellinis or Prosecco. Winning!
