Festival of Nature celebrates its 15th birthday in 2018, and started here in Bristol before stretching down the River Avon to cover Bath as well. It’s a feature project of Bristol Natural History Consortium, a charity on a serious, admirable mission to engage people of all ages with the natural world, through a range of collaborative action and activity.
The BNHC started way back in 2003, when 6 different organisations across Bristol joined forces to work collaboratively on flagship environmental communication projects. In 2008 the BHNC gained charitable status, and now has 13 organisations working together to connect people and nature.
The UK's biggest celebration of the natural world, Festival of Nature features two free weekends of activity in Bath and Bristol, and a range of special ticketed events.
