FareShare South West joins up the dots between two big issues: hunger and food waste. They take hundreds of tonnes of surplus food into their Bristol warehouse each year and (with the help of volunteers) redistribute it out to charities, schools and community groups right across the South West. These organisations in turn transform the food into meals for people in need. Their food supports around 13,000 people in around 200 organisations each week - in homeless shelters, elderly people's lunch clubs, school breakfast clubs and more.
In between grabbing bargain lunches and dinners, do what you can to provide for those desperate for a meal. Pay it forward as and when you can 😁
I did it once, and I'd do it again. Fareshare are the logical answer to the problems of food waste and hunger, and Wriggle make it difficult to say no to donating a couple of quid their way regularly.
Seems like a really worthy cause
Great way to use up my credit
Great and easy way to help other
A good cause!
