A beautifully renovated, glass-fronted space still bearing the hallmarks of the traditional bakery which used to occupy the same space, Exchange has evolved from one of Bristol’s most iconic alternative music venues to incorporate an excellent coffee shop, kitchen and late night bar-come-hangout.
During the day the lovely Caitlin and Harry serve up speciality coffee and encourage one and all to unwind, catch up or simply crack on with some emails (Exchange is a popular meeting space for the local creative community, bands and freelancers). Their coffee is single origin (sourced and roasted locally from renowned Clifton coffee roasters - alongside carefully selected guest filters), their cakes are vegan-friendly and hand-baked on site, and the savoury food offering follows a mean Tex-Mex vibe (featuring some unreal modern veggie and vegan twists).
As the day rolls into the evening, Exchange's well-heeled bar and music venue spring into life, hosting regular gigs and offering up a smattering of great beers, cocktails, wine and mixers to Old Market's Great and Good.
*The Café is located in the main bar of Exchange. They will sometimes be closed to the public for gigs & events, where only ticket holders will be able to gain entry to the venue. For further info on this please visit Exchange's website or social media pages.
