Why we love it

Emmeline is quite simply one of the best places to stop by for some gorgeous coffee and a bite to eat. A small but perfectly formed little spot on Cheltenham road, Emmeline is the brainchild of Shona – a whiz in the kitchen who cut her culinary teeth with giants of Bristol's food and drink scene such as Yurt Lush and Eat Drink Dance.

Shona now has a spot all of her very own – and what a spot it is. Packed from floor to ceiling (quite literally) with house plants of all shapes, sizes, colours and behaviours, this tiny cafe is one of our favourite places to swing by. From tiny cactuses to adorn your desk to stunning pineapple plants and massive cheese plants to pimp out your bedroom, there's something for everyone. There's also a lush little selection of reusable, eco-friendly water bottles and cups from Kleen Kanteen and Keep Cup as well as aprons and other treats that'll have you swooning while you wait for your coffee.

Oh – and about that coffee. Delicious, locally roasted beans are expertly pulled into the perfect cup, but if you prefer a life less caffeinated, there's also a dreamy range of Super Boost Warmers to spice things up with – we can't get enough of the beetroot and ginger latte. On the food front, expect delicious fresh cakes from Pearly King Cake and gorgeous and pretty breakfast pots of overnight oats, granolas and more.

Absolutely banging food for the price!

Emmeline is always absolutely amazing. Lovely service and incredible food, also lots of great plants!

The grilled sandwhich was delicious, adding the jalapenos and pickles at the end is a great idea and there is a fab selection of sauces. Good quality coffee and all ingredients are very well sourced. So although a little on the expensive side without the wriggle, because of the quality of the ingredients I can justify it. I was really really disappointed there were no ingredients for a virgin Mary - that is what sold the wriggle voucher for me :(
