It all began way back in 2009 whilst the founders of CUPP lived on the island that brought bubble tea to the world: Taiwan. After falling in love with the country, food, people, and the national drink, they were determined to open an authentic bubble tea shop: after all, what better way to bring such an integral part of their life back to the UK?
These CUPPs of tea are full of flavour and their bursting bubbles or chewy morsels of tapioca concealed within only act to heighten their overwhelmingly fresh taste. The slurp, pop 'n chew combo is a slightly curious experience the first time around, sure, but we've got a feeling you'll be coming back for more.
Hungry? Well, CUPP's sense of ‘fresh’ has also been translated to the food on offer in their St Stephen’s street space. Nourishing, light noodle soups are a particular highlight - particularly on a day where you need a quick, tasty, no-hassle pick-me-up.
Great value lunch on a cold day
Nice friendly staff, casual atmosphere
Fast and fresh noodle soup and hot & cold Taiwanese teas. The offering is quite basic but it's a sweet little venue with friendly staff. I'll try the coffee next time as I hear it's good.
Excellent bao and bubble tea - all ingredients fresh and surprisingly good vegan options for the baos! Lovely little cafe environment on a quiet street in town.
The original bubble tea in Bristol! And Baos are also very good!
quiet, at least when I went there. Very fresh!
