Delightfully twee, Cox & Baloney are the purveyors of the finest tea-parties in Bristol. Here you'll find towers of cakes, scones, jams & clotted-cream and a selection of 14 loose-leaved teas to wash all those treats down, with many blends even concocted in-house. Unless you’re mad as a hatter, no tea party is really complete without afternoon tea. But forget Alice in Wonderland; Lily’s Afternoon Tea is a much loved staple at Cox & Baloney’s, with home baked cakes and fresh finger sandwiches abound. It’s hard to say no to really!
As the afternoon wears on, the Teapot Cocktails emerge. Created from Cox & Baloney’s loose teas and their own unique gins infused with fresh fruit or herbs, all paired with cheese or charcuterie platters. Sipping gin infusions out of vintage, fine bone china is a novelty that doesn’t wear off. With selections of Sweet Orange or Forest Berry Infusion, you’ll be grinning like a Cheshire cat after sinking one or two of these beauties.
Far from just a luxury tea room, Amy (Cox) and Joney (Baloney) have created a vibrant, ALL inclusive, lifestyle hub for women. Recently, the C&B team introduced their new tea line ‘WOMEN’S WORLD’, a range of herbal infused teas have been specifically designed to balance the female body and mind. In the new range, Cox & Baloney don’t shy away from the hard stuff - and we’re not talking about their Gin infused teas! Armed with remedies to tackle PMS, period cramps and the looming doom of the menopause, whatever age or stage of womanhood, they’ll welcome you with open arms. After all, a soothing cuppa is Mother Nature’s cure for, well, practically everything. Keep an eye out for the “Lazzzeee Daze”, a calming blend to aid the perfect snooze and curb mood swings, night sweats and fatigue.
With its vintage decoration and a menu plucked straight from a bygone era, Cox & Baloney is a charming way to spend a blissful few hours.
