Why we love it

Ceres cemented their place in the hearts and minds of Bristolians with their absolutely awe-inspiring brunch menu. Quite possibly one of Team Wriggle's all-time-fave places to eat, Ceres are set smack in the heart of Stokes Croft's main strip, where they dish up plateful after plateful of joyful, mouthwatering food.

Owner and chef Dan Ingram's cut his culinary teeth via a lengthy stint working with the legendary Heston Blumenthal, but Ceres' spectacular brekky menu is inspired and named after the finest brunch cafes in Melbourne. After a hot recommendation? Our absolute fave is Ceres' speciality, The Square Mile: a glorious stack of sweetcorn fritters, smashed avo, grilled halloumi, kasundi and poached egg. In true Melbourne style, the coffee is also heavenly – it's not *too* much of an exaggeration to say you haven't lived until you've drunk a Ceres flat white.

Following a successful series of astonishingly popular supper clubs, Wriggle are absolutely thrilled to announce that Dan and his team have now taken the plunge, serving a perfectly curated menu to their dedicated followers. The daily-changing menu is utterly seasonal, with each dish showcasing the very finest local produce and ingredients, sourced in harmony with the seasons. Better still, it's BYO, so you can enjoy an absolutely knock-out first-rate dinner without the eye-watering price tag.

The decor is minimal and relaxing, with chic white walls and up-cycled stools covered in coffee-bag hemp. There's also an absolutely banging playlist, making Ceres the perfect place to while away a morning, afternoon or evening.

Dan and his head chef Kris are overflowing with palpable enthusiasm and passion for what they're doing – if you're yet to sample their delicious cookery, you're missing a trick.

The food quality was fantastic, and the service was really friendly. We'll definitely be going back and will be recommending to all out friends as well.

Amazing food, think fine dining but with generous portion sizes! We loved the low lighting and it felt very intimate. Can't wait to go back and try their brunch.

We booked a 3-course supper club. There are 3 options for starter, main and desert, all of which sounded delicious. The food was beautiful, the staff attentive and friendly and the playlist in the background was a brilliant choice of music. My favourite dish was a rich slow cooked beef with buttery mash and it was stunning. It’s BYOB and no charge for corkage which is a nice little touch. Cool place and can’t wait to go back for brunch another time!

I saw this deal by chance and decided to book it as it has very good reviews on TripAdvisor. It didn't disappoint - it delivers great combinations of flavors, it's so delicious and memorable (for me and my partner). It was a busy Saturday night, and they really did a good job to keep the food flowing and attentive to the customers. Really enjoy it and the donut was surprisingly good!

Dan was our waiter and chef for the evening. The food was brilliant and the service was great despite Dan being super busy! I would definitely recommend Ceres and will be going back!.

Delicious food at a reasonable price, especially on the deal. We enjoyed it so much we're planning to bring a large group next weekend again.
