Pioneers of Bristol's vegan food scene, the lovely folk at Cafe Kino have been serving up delicious healthy food in Stokes Croft since 2004. After starting out as a pop-up way back in 1996, their popularity has brought them to their current base in trendy Stokes Croft. It is through these art filled streets that vegan food lovers roam to get their mitts on Kino's fresh local grub. From falafel platters to their 'Kino' muesli made with toasted coconut, fig, and sultanas - there is something for everyone, whatever your appetite.
Cafe Kino is the perfect creative hang-out to sit back, watch the world go by, and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Stokes Croft through their floor to ceiling windows. Make sure to check out the work of local artists that they display proudly on their walls - you might get inspired! They also have an events space downstairs, so keep your eyes peeled for quirky workshop listings such as weekly life-drawing sessions.
As a worker's co-op, Cafe Kino is run collectively, meaning that all money made by the co-op goes back into improving the cafe for customers and staff! As if they aren't amazing enough, these guys use local and organic produce and suppliers, such as Brian Wogan Coffee and family-run Four Seasons Organic for their fresh fruit and veg.
Gorgeous venue, beautifully decorated and with a friendly open atmosphere
As the sunshine's outside and we are all inside (because of Covid-19)... I am looking forward to spending my voucher at Cafe Kino (currently closed)... My favourite place for a bite and coffee. There needs to be more Cafe Kind in the world... And Bristol just would not be the same with out it. I pray at the end of all this it will still be there...
Definitely best vegan milkshake I’ve ever had and up there with best vegan burger
Delicious vegan food and comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.
Like everyone else is saying , the milkshakes were super yummy !! Burgers were good too, was on a wait on food but that was fine because they let us know and we had our milkshakes to slurp on!
Been to cafe kino before for drinks and the great atmosphere, but never tried their food before. The burger, rosemary chips and milkshake were all absolutely delicious and I would definitely do this deal again.
