Pioneers of Bristol's vegan food scene, the lovely folk at Cafe Kino have been serving up delicious healthy food in Stokes Croft since 2004. After starting out as a pop-up way back in 1996, their popularity has brought them to their current base in trendy Stokes Croft. It is through these art filled streets that vegan food lovers roam to get their mitts on Kino's fresh local grub. From falafel platters to their 'Kino' muesli made with toasted coconut, fig, and sultanas - there is something for everyone, whatever your appetite.
Cafe Kino is the perfect creative hang-out to sit back, watch the world go by, and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Stokes Croft through their floor to ceiling windows. Make sure to check out the work of local artists that they display proudly on their walls - you might get inspired! They also have an events space downstairs, so keep your eyes peeled for quirky workshop listings such as weekly life-drawing sessions.
As a worker's co-op, Cafe Kino is run collectively, meaning that all money made by the co-op goes back into improving the cafe for customers and staff! As if they aren't amazing enough, these guys use local and organic produce and suppliers, such as Brian Wogan Coffee and family-run Four Seasons Organic for their fresh fruit and veg.
Lovely staff. Everything is vegan and there’s always information about interesting things to do in Bristol. Burger was a bit mushy though!
Love Kino! Great deal too!
Great vegan food
Super vegan place, chilled and alternative
I t has been a couple of years since I last visited Cafe Kino but seeing the Wriggle reminded me how much I used to love it. Prompted to go back, I will definitely keep visiting, I just love their classic burger and the Rosemary chips were yummy!
Food was really good, really nice atmosphere and friendly waiters.
