Why we love it

The burger boys are back in town! Burger Bear started their burger journey 7 years ago, and boy have they come on a long way since then.

Bristol is where Burger Bear's heart belongs, so they've been drawn back to BS8, serving up their devilish treats at the amazing Nettle & Rye.

So, what sets them apart? Well, Burger Bear was propelled into notoriety by their maverick minds concocting Bacon Jam - the glorious condiment that's made from 12 crazy ingredients. This features on their signature Burger, the Grizzly Bear - a must, must try! Otherwise, we're talking totally T H I C C juicy patties, showered in outlandish toppings, and towered up high.

Their mac n cheese balls - seriously
Grizzly Bear Burger - it's their signature for a reason!

Really tasty burger, full of flavour and a decent portion. We’ll be back for sure!

Really tasty burger and fries (could really taste the rosemary in the fries), would recommend going! Was a bit concerned about the other comment about the chef not being there but that was all explained to us (he came in for a trial shift then went on Christmas break). Other customers had dogs which was really nice and the place didn’t smell of dog. Staff were very friendly and nice.

Good venue, tasty burger and fries, and helpful staff. Loads of great beer. The price of a pint isn't written on the board which is confusing!

Decent burgers, nice chilled vibe but wish they’d sort out the beer selection at the Nettle - gone down hill over the past year!

Although the wriggle deal suggested that there would be 5 different burgers to choose from, when we got there only two burgers were on the menu. Paid £2 to upgrade to cheesy fries which were barely had any cheese on, were very greasy and too salty.

There was no chef so we were not able to claim our wriggle but we had nice drinks and the atmosphere was good
