Half restaurant, half allotment. Birch is a small owner-run neighbourhood restaurant with a third of an acre of field outside South Bristol. The produce from the garden informs the menu in the restaurant and as the garden grows and matures, they will be getting more and more of their produce from it.
Owners Sam and Becky whittle down the evening menu into punchy, daily changing selections of their favourite drinks and freshest produce. They buy their wines from various suppliers who specialise in small domaine producers who grow and make wine in ways which are both kind to the land and kind to the glass. Expect excellent, informal service and a masterclass in doing things right.
