January is time for Belly Laughs, a series of comedy gigs around Bristol and the South West, set in independent restaurants and cafes. It all supports Julian Trust night shelter in central Bristol.
Belly Laughs is the brainchild of Bristol comedian, Mark Olver, who started Belly Laughs last year after noticing how January was a quiet period for both restaurants, and for his comedian friends. He saw the opportunity to book in some impossible gigs―huge names in tiny spaces―and to raise money for a worthy charity. Last year, Belly Laughs put on shows in ten venues around Bristol, and raised over five thousand pounds.
This year, Wriggle is proud to work with Belly Laughs, and make it easy to find a gig!
We'll be adding new events as they are set up. Keep your eye on this page to learn of new Belly Laughs events as they are added. Some of these are as few as six tickets, so things will move fast!
Lineups will change right up till the moment the show begins. You can follow @bellylaughs2 on Twitter to watch Olver work his booking magic, but trust him: these will be amazing and memorable evenings!
