Why we love it

Averys Wine began in 1793 and over the years, the family has built its reputation as one of the UK's most pioneering wine merchants.

Today, it is 5th generation Mimi Avery at the helm, introducing a new generation of wine lovers to the company. At the heart of what Mimi and her team do - and have done for 225 years - is sharing a passion for wine. The team love discovering wines with a story to tell – whether that's something for everyday drinking with dinner or fine wines for the cellar.

So, if you're looking for a delicious, real wine that's full of character and flavour, welcome to Averys. Wriggle your way down to their cellars, get lost in the immense variety, and be sure to pick the brains of the immensely knowledgable team. We'll drink to that!

Amazing wine and really fun tasting. I've attended in person pre covid-19 tastings at Averys and this was a really great alternative. Fantastically run by Frank and Louise.

The virtual wine tasting was the perfect Friday night in, the wines were seriously tasty and we enjoyed learning about the wine, grapes and vineyards from Frank and Louise. We prepared a tonne of nibbles based on the food pairings we were sent to go with the wine, I'd definitely recommend going all out it added another dimension to an already great experience!

Great virtual wine tasting

An excellent virtual wine-tasting. The red wine especially was an Italian which my wife doesn't usually go for but we both thought it was yummy! Lovely white and prosecco although the rose wasn't really our thing.

Had a lot of fun, great wine and very interesting information!

Amazing tasting with just the right balance of education and having a relaxed time to drink the delicious wine and eat the wonderful cheeseboard! Already booked to go back!
