A launderette that you'd like to hang out in? Not likely. Yet that's exactly what At the Well's owners, the Grist sisters, have created. It's a unique cafe-come-launderette – so, even if you don't need to freshen up your threads, it’s still well worth a trip. Their pancake brunches are spectacular (mounds of pancakes dripping in maple syrup with bacon or blueberries and a big cafetiere) and the eggs/mushrooms on toast or boiled eggs & soldiers are excellent value. After a short time sat in here (amidst the tinkling of coffee cups and washing machine white-noise), you’ll really appreciate the creative interior of this hub of inclusivity and community.
Nice cafe, chilled environment and great food
Lovely little cafe, with great coffee.
Really great food and gluten free bread available!
A suprising find but incredible pancakes. Had about a 20 minute wait for food as it was prime brunch time.
One of my favourite cafes - really cosy with a beautiful, community feel.
The atmosphere is great - you can tell it's a central part of the local community. The staff listened to their customers, remembered details, looked after those who needed a bit of looking after, yet could still get my slightly picky order absolutely perfect.
