How would the founders of the Vegetarian Society (est: 1847) have felt about the delicious state of meat-free affairs in our day and age? They’d probably have had an excellent time in Bristol's very own 1847 restaurant, delighting over the creativity of the menu and tucking into a few too many seasonal cocktails (well, you'd celebrate your good-fortune too if you were remarkably resurrected in the middle of an award winning vegetarian restaurant!). No doubt they’d wager that vegetarian dining of this quality and style is enough to please even the most dedicated carnivore. We would too.
