The Walrus is quite possibly one of Team Wriggle's favourite recent additions to Brighton's historic Lanes. The team behind this suave spot have poured oodles of time and effort into the former public house, bestowing upon it a brand new lease of life, as well as some pretty exciting, diverse new features. The sprawling venue now boasts an upstairs restaurant, a two-storey rooftop garden, and even an atmospheric basement live music venue.
The part we love the most, though, is the cosy and relaxed yet super-stylish pub that lies at the heart of the building. Full of intimate booths and snugs, the pub is decked out with an open fire, Victorian-style seating and plenty of green leather and red velvet comfy seating. Despite the pub's classic old school boozer feel, the bar itself is well stocked with the finest and tastiest beers, spirits and soft drinks that we all know and love.
On the hunt for even more style, flair and sophistication? Head upstairs to the Walrus's dining room – a seriously opulent space that's dripping in class and distinction. The seasonal menu has got a tonne of tasty options, ranging from pub classics to pizzas, roast dinners to sandwiches – it's the perfect spot for date night, drinks with your favourites, or a full-blown family affair of a Sunday roast.
If you're after a venue that's bursting with character, serves up mouthwateringly good food and boasts a bountifully well-stocked bar, The Walrus is the place for you.
