This cheerful french-inspired eatery, situated on a stretch of seafront where you might reasonably expect to find a humdrum chippy, is flipping marvellous. The entirely gluten-free menu is still chock full of fun; slather your crepe with five varieties of chocolate and festoon with salted caramel marshmallows. Or, if you’re feeling pious, the standard lemon and sugar option is also damn fine. Galettes (thick, hot and savoury) include gooey Ratatouille and French Blue (with roquefort, sun-blushed tomatoes, spinach and pine nuts). Coffee is by Small Batch, wine is served by the carafe and their selection of gelato – not to mention the fun, contemporary decor – make for a marvellous munch sur la mère.
