What could be finer than a beer and a curry? A craft beer, and a Curry Leaf Cafe is what. This bright corner hostelry is a quality spot in which to skull an IPA or three anyway, with plentiful seating, secretive booths upstairs and (really quite hot) staff who come across cliquey in a benign Cheers! sort of a way (as opposed to that noxious Always Sunny In Philadelphia vibe you get in other such pubs). Its partnership with local chain Curry Leaf (you’ll have seen their concession at Brighton station) is utterly inspired; the crispy masala mix is a fragrant alternative to peanuts if you’re propping up the bar, while Hyderabad lamb chops are as satisfying a sit down meal as you’ll find in a real life boozer.
