Seven Stars / Little Blue Smokehouse

Why we love it?

There is no finer place for listening to a live jazz band play while sipping gin cocktails on a Sunday than Seven Stars. In fact, with their quirky drinks menu (a Bloody Mary made from blue cheese vodka is a fave), top-notch food from the Little Blue Smokehouse and a buzz that even bees couldn't emanate, it's a wonder why we'd go anywhere else. Of course, we do, but then we always return.

Since Hope & Ruin discontinued poutine (sniff, sniff), Seven Stars has been a reliable go-to for the feel-good Canadian specialty. But then that's what Seven Stars is all about: drinking great drinks until your head's fuzzy and then making it better the next day with their trash-can fries (just as great completely sober). And rinse and repeat.
