Having landed in The Victory in the summer of 2017, Pattypan and its completely vegetarian kitchen has been going down a treat amongst local foodies. Head Chef Matt had worked his way through notable Brighton eateries Terre a Terre, Indian Summer and The Open House, before realising his true passion lay in healthy, hearty, vegetarian soul food. On the menu you can find his revered Sweet Potato, Beetroot, Emmental & Polenta burger, Sri Lankan Style Curry and a ton of veggie classic pub style snacks and mains. Their seasonal homemade sorbets are killer, and they’re all made with fresh fruits and veggies! Some Wriggle favourites are Granny Smith Apple, Sweet Potato or Roasted Banana.
Sustainability is a key element to the way this kitchen runs, and all ingredients are bought locally, waste is recycled religiously and many of the dishes are also vegan, and gluten-free. New customers are often surprised to find such a contrasting menu in this traditional Lanes boozer, but they enjoy discovering just how delicious plant-based food can be. We urge you to try one of their meat-free roasts, you will not be disappointed!
