North Laine Brewhouse

Why we love it?

If you dig local craft beer then this leviathan of a boozer (with it’s own in-house brewery) is the place for you. And while it’s satisfying to know your IPA hailed from just over yonder, there’s way more to the gaff than that. Food-wise, the Laines Burger with bacon, cheese, chili jam and BBQ sauce is plump and enticingly served on a wooden paddle with giant skin-on chips. There’s depth to the fayre too, like halloumi and chorizo hash, with waistline-watching alternatives including superfood quinoa salad. Sundays they do a mighty fine roast. Saturday is bottomless brunch day; twenty quid for a range of eggy delights and endless refills of Bloody Mary or Mimosa until 3pm. Bloody marvellous.

Wriggle Highlights
  • Beercan chicken for two, roasted in Time Hop beer
  • Bottomless brunch. Kick off a bender the right way
  • Laines Burger. When in Rome…
