From the ashes of Pike & Pine has come another great flame - this time with the team at Lucky Beach at the helm, bringing traditional northern Thai barbecue to the edge of St James Street. Expect quality service and an abundance of flavour - all served under the bright neon lights that wouldn’t be out of place on a Chiang Mai high street.
Three out of four of us really enjoyed the Thai curries. One of our party thought the food was too salty. The wine servings were generous, and the staff were lovely.
I was very disappointed with the food in general. I order an extra dish (not included in my wriggle) and it was uneatable, a dry and tasteless papaya salad that lacked of some of its main ingredients. I waited a long time to get the main dish and when it arrived I couldn't believe it: the portion was tiny, and it was a chicken curry without chicken (there were 3 tiny cubes of chicken in the whole dish). I left more hungry than when I arrived. I felt it was a complete waste of money.
Food was amazing and staff were super friendly. Would definitely recommend
The food was fantastic and the service impecable. I have done a review on facebook. Such a nice atmosphere with excellent decor.
