The original Curry Leaf Cafe is located in the heart of Brighton's Lanes, just a couple of minutes' walk from the beach. Its colourful, laid-back 75-seat dining space – decked out with exposed brick walls, wooden tables and vintage Indian design touches – operates as a cafe-cum-lunch spot during the day, offering a range of coffees, teas, snacks and traditional South Indian street food, as well as more substantial meals such as thali platters, dosas and Masala-battered fish 'n chips.
In the evenings diners can experience the cafe’s small but diverse dinner menu of tandoor-grilled meats, street food dishes and expertly spiced curries, accompanied by some of Brighton's best craft beers and spiced cocktails.
All ingredients are sourced from local farms where possible, and around half of the menu is vegetarian. A wide selection of vegan and gluten-free dishes is also on offer throughout the day
Call ahead to book a table. Don’t trust the wriggle instructions. Bad wriggle.
Amazing flavours and excellent quality. It was clear that food had been cooked fresh to order. Service was fantastic, will definitely be coming back!
Wonderful food! Can’t believe I hadn’t been before.
Fantastic food, and the wriggle offer is real value for money. Would not hesitate to do this again!
This is a genuine Brighton gem. It gets very busy so book ahead. As far as food choices go you really can't go wrong. Good spread of vegetarian & vegan alongside meat dishes and the popadoms are pretty much exceptional.
