Chef, Christian aka Chrisdave began cooking as a kid but then went on to train and learn his trade in the bustling kitchens in the south of France and The French Alps. Later Chrisdave went on to spend 5 years working in London, at establishments such as The Delaunay, Berners Tavern and Le Pont de la Tour. Last year Chris moved back to Brighton and worked at the acclaimed restaurant, The Pass, in The South Lodge Hotel before moving on to create his Pop-Up, Croustillant D.

Sebastian, the younger brother of Christian, has been around the Brighton pub/restaurant scene for a number of years now after a spell in France, heading up The Tempest Inn, The Three Little Birds and more recently The Lord Nelson Inn. He also has a background in baking, and cooks a mean Roast Dinner!

Amazing food amazing place my commandments to the chef he worked so hard all day in a tiny kitchen and provided the best roast dinner I've ever eaten out before highly reccomend I take my hat off to the chef ! 10 put of 10 5 star service

A good gastro pub would not be ashamed of the food. We had a great vegan Sunday dinner made of a creamy mushroom vol-au-vent, and plenty of fresh, tasty greens, roasties and gravy. The chef is clearly proud of his cooking and so he should be. We’ll be back again.
