BLOCK. on St James's Street is a bar boasting a great wine list,
bringing you lots of new young wineries/vineyards who are pushing the envelope a bit. The wine is supported with a great craft on draft range and Brighton's first and currently only charcoal and wood burning Bertha oven. Working with quality produce from local farms, fisherman and suppliers they've put together a beautiful British menu with a Basque influence coming through.
Their famous garden has also recently been improved after being voted Brighton's best garden for the last two years. You don't need to worry about it chucking it down on you either, with the addition of their new heated garden roof. Now you can enjoy some wonderful food and wine al fresco all year round!
The steak was incredible, beautifully seasoned and with a superb dressing. Will be a k here again, with or without a Wriggle!
This particular visit did take quite a long time for the food to come out - despite it being quiet, however the barmaid is excellent and gives really great service with a smile. Food was great when it did come! We will certainly be back again!!
Interesting establishments, lovely wood floors with indoor and outdoor seating, so its great on a sunny day!
Lovely staff, nice food. Good garden to chill in
Delicious sandwich and good selection of drinks, relaxed and big garden was a really nice space to eat in
It’s a shame that you can see Brighton classic old battered buildings because their burgers are actually the best I’ve ever tried. Honestly melt in the mouth. I get what they’re trying to do with the place, it’s cool
