The daddy of all Italian eateries in Brighton, this centrally located joint boasts 300 seats spread over five floors. There’s no scrimping on standards though; the charcuterie board is as good as you’ll get this side of Florence, and the space is versatile enough for a big birthday or intimate liaison over a nice Chianti in one of the downstairs booths.

Their large menu consists freshly cooked fish, handmade pizzas, meaty platters and a good selection of veggie, vegan and gluten-free dishes. These guys really know their stuff when it comes to making pizzas, they’ve been crafting Sourdough-Lievito Madre Pizzas for the past 36 years - the tomato sauce is direct from Pomodori, the Mozarella is 100% pure, they only use Caputo 00 flour and all the veg is locally sourced. Once this perfectly curated pizza is assembled it’s into the Fuoco a Legna (Wood Fired Oven) and ready for you to sink your teeth into.
If dinner and a show is your idea of a good time we recommend heading down for one of their events nights, Spaghetti Opera perhaps or Boogie Nights Disco & Dinner? Whatever kind of dining experience you’re after, Al Duomo have a table for just that. Buon Appetito amici!
I absolutely love coming here! Friendly service, delicious food!
Al Duomo is one of my favourite Italian places in Brighton - we had our wedding breakfast there and the food along with the services and atmosphere totally made our day!
Nice venue, especially if sat by the pizza oven, nice and warm by there. Friendly staff, I went during a very quiet period so food came within 7-8 minutes, very good tasting pizza
