With such a vibrant food and drink scene in Birmingham, you’ve got to pull something special out of the bag to stand out - but we think Purecraft Bar & Kitchen have nailed it. With its industrial-slash-canteen look, Purecraft Bar & Kitchen have built a temple of all things craft beer and good eats. It’s one of our go-to destinations when we’re looking for something fresh to drink, and always know we’re in good hands.
Purecraft Bar & Kitchen have an impressive beer selection, with 8 cask and 16 draught beers available at any one time, spanning roughly 14 different styles. In their fridges, you’ll also find around 60 different types from renowned brewers across the globe, so there’s plenty of choice. If you’re not sure where to begin, we recommend chatting to their team; they’re extremely well-versed in the world of beer and can point you in the right direction, and will always offer you a taster of whatever you fancy.
If the drinks selection doesn’t tempt you enough, then wait until you see what’s cooking in the kitchen. Purecraft Bar & Kitchen have sourced the best of local produce to put together some great eats that pair brilliantly with their selection of craft beers. If you’re looking for something to snack on, then you definitely need to get your mitts on the black pepper and fennel pork scratchings or a handful of their home-roasted spiced nuts (vegan). For bigger bites, their menu boasts a whole selection of creative dishes, such as the tofu burger with smoked vegan cheese (which goes beautifully with the Purity Session IPA) and a chicken schnitzel, served with charred lemon, watercress pesto and fries (ideal with the Purity Helles). They do Sunday roasts too, which are proper good; hearty portions stacked with seasonal vegetables and crispy yorkshires.
Making Purecraft Bar & Kitchen a staple in your social scene is one of the best decisions you can make. Embrace everything it’s got.
