Open since November 2017 and based just off St Paul’s Square, Folium is a superb addition to the JQ. Run by Ben Tesh and Lucy Hanlon, expect innovative cooking with high-quality, in-season ingredients in a relaxed, informal space. The menu changes by the day, but you can expect to experience dishes like the salt marsh lamb asparagus and seaweed, along with turbot, dashi (Japanese stock) and hay butter. This is beautiful food that won’t leave you bloated. Which is always fine by us.
