Bottega Prosecco Bar & Restaurant is the classy joint we all need in our life. With it’s glitzy interior, high-end drinks selection and authentic Italian dishes, it’s a slice of the good life right on the edge of Birmingham's Old Main Line Canal.
If you’re a Prosecco sipper, then you’re going to love it here. It’s impossible not to gaze in wonder at the towering shelving lined with gold bottle of different varieties of fizz, that stands proudly in position as you step into the venue. And then there’s the stunning bar: impressive in length and fully-stocked to showcase eight types of Prosecco, it’s a pure sight for sore eyes. We recommend talking to the team if you’re not sure where to begin; they’ve got an unrivalled knowledge when it comes to Prosecco and will be able to give you a brief insight and tasting notes into each variation on offer.
The bar team also turn their hands at cocktails, making the most of their powerful Prosecco and spirit arsenal to create some truly inspired and refreshing highball and short drinks. Every visit’s got to start with an apertivo: the Bottega spritz (made with Bottega limoncello, and Bottega Prosecco) is a winning way to start the night, and their Negronis are also on point. Further down their drinks list you’ll find a whole host of cocktails that are bound to tickle your fancy, but if there’s anything off menu you want, you’ve just got to ask for it.
And if you’re stopping by for something to eat, you won’t be disappointed. Bottega specialises in cicchetti (mediterranean small bites), which in our opinion is the ultimate food to enjoy alongside a drink or two. Picture sharing boards of cured meats and cheese, crispy fritters stuffed with parma ham, and platefuls of spicy prawns in a rich red sauce muddled with olive oil. For something bigger, they also serve handmade pizzas (made from scratch on-site and blistered in their stone oven), plenty of pasta, and some classic mains.
Bottega Prosecco Bar & Restaurant is dressed to impress - and it hits the nail on its head. Whether it’s a casual drink, or a fancy evening wining and dining with mates, it’s bound to make you feel like royalty.
Great pasta, cooked to perfection with the right consistency of sauce.
Great. Place. Staff. Helpful
Really good value for money, considering the size of the pizzas!
Food ok but very poor service. Staff clearly had no idea what they were doing. Waited 30 mins for drinks then had to ask where the starters were. Main course arrived whilst we were still eating the starter.
Had the lunchtime Pizza offer. Being 12:30pm, the place was not busy. Bottega looks more like a good place to go for drinks than for lunch. The pizza was average (there are many better pizza places in Birmingham) but could not complain with value at £3. That said, very friendly and good service.
Nice place but I think you would go here for drinks rather than food
