Underwood brings modern European fine dining to Bath.
Behind Underwood is the Dombrowski siblings, Andrew and Inna. Their father encouraged them to learn to cook together from the early age of 7, and the rest is history. Inna has been working as a Director and Andrew as a Head Chef in England for years. Now, they unite to form the wonderful Underwood. Born of European descent, they say that this is what inspired them to create a restaurant that draws on influences from various countries. Their mains menu is a sight to behold, from their Ribeye Steak with King Oyster Mushrooms, Wild Mushroom Puree, and Jus, to their Pork Duo with Braised Pig Cheek, Slow Cooked Belly, Steam Bun, and Korean Fermented Carrot. All of their culinary creations are immaculately presented too. They put just as much effort into making their dishes aesthetically pleasing to anyone's eyes, as they put into finding the best fresh produce.
This fabulously talented team aim to push the boundaries of taste pairings, and they certainly deliver.
Service was a bit slow but was made up for by the friendly polite staff. Can't fault them! We had a lovely evening, thank you
Gorgeous little venue in Bath - was a great spot to sit outside (or inside near a window) over looking the weir!
Great cocktails, nice decor, polite and friendly service.
The service was very poor for all customers, not just our table. There was 3 tables to serve so it wasn’t overly busy and all 3 tables were complaining about how long food was taking. Personally our food took 1 hour 20 minutes for it to be served. The constant complaints to the waitress although it wasn’t her fault (however she could have kept the customers updated) created a really unwelcoming atmosphere which became increasingly awkward. At first I felt really sorry for the waitress, however it did take a rather long time. The food was average itself.
