Bringing food, booze and music under one roof always means one thing: good times. And that’s exactly what The Cork is all about.
Right in the centre of Bath, The Cork is the beating heart of many a night out. With two bars packed to the rafters with spirits, and fridges stacked with beer and cider like a seemingly endless cold mountain range, there are plenty of libations to quench your thirst.
They do grub too, with a menu of hearty comfort food inspired by popular plates around the world. We’re talking burgers, golden nachos, a hefty selection of crisp, golden toasties and refreshing pad Thai noodles. Their Sumac marinated lamb Posh Kebab with slaw, sriracha, buttermilk aioli and pomegranate is a personal favourite of ours. Order this with some dirty fries to share and you’re doing it so, so right.
If you think you’ve got a good set of pipes on you, you’ll be chuffed to pieces to hear you can hire private karaoke pods at The Cork too. With space for up to 15 people, there’s no better place to get the band back together. Who knows, you might be lucky enough to catch us wailing “One Love” or screaming “All Star” (other karaoke belters are, of course, available) until they kick us out.
A word of warning though - it’s easy to get caught up in The Corks’ raucous atmosphere. So if you’re thinking of stopping by for a quick drink, you’d better think again. Believe us, we’ve spent many a night here until closing time, immersed in the vibrant energy this hangout has to offer. It’s one of those places where you can easily lose track of time; one minute you’re walking in for a post-work pint, the next it’s 1am and you’re a heavy handed number of drinks in. Our pro tip is to take it easy - you’ve got a good night ahead of you.
