Cool, calm and collected - these are the three words Circo Bar use to describe their venue, and we couldn’t have put it better ourselves. Honestly, this is a must visit establishment if you want to spoil yourself with an exquisite cocktail in a sophisticated setting. Decked out with a modern-vintage look, Circo Bar is a labyrinth of cocktail bars and plush seating areas (note their collection of beautiful Chesterfield sofas), the Circo Bar team have created an immersive setting to accompany their cocktail collection; creative and captivating, it’s unique environment lends itself well to the act of enjoying one too many cocktails.
Journey through Circo Bar and you’ll spot several different areas to hangout and order cocktails and beers. We’re particular fans of the designated rum bar which has over 60 rums lining the bar. There’s a distinction in the design of this particular bar, with a nod to the nautical imagery rum is so favourably connected too; it might not be a subtle design choice but they’ve done it well to avoid falling into clichés despite a skull or two hanging around. This is our go-to spot for a dark ‘n’ stormy, but if you fancy trying something new, you’d be wise to talk to the mixologists for their recommendations - their rum knowledge is second to none so you’re likely to get something that hits the spot.
It’s good to be aware that whilst the early evenings here can be laid-back, with lounge areas offering an intimate space to sip your chosen drink, Circo Bar livens up as the night goes on. With their very own selection of in-house DJs (playing everything from funk and soul, to house and electro), you can expect to shake a leg at some time or another. And if movies are more your cup of tea, then be sure to swing by on Wednesdays to catch a flick here; check their website to see what they’ve got lined-up.
Whether it’s a post-work drink or a proper night out, Circo Bar adds a touch of class to any affair with its smooth setting and outstanding cocktails.
